Fischer Fixings

The Client:

Fischer Fixings

fischer fixings are the UK’s leading supplier of power tools, fixings and screws for the construction industry and retail stores such as Wicks and B&Q. Since launching in Germany in 1948, fischer has experienced rapid growth and now operates in over 30 countries worldwide. Their products are high-quality, reliable and bloody epic to put it simply. If you a thing fizing to another thing, this is the brand for you!

We’ve been working with fischer since 2019, collaborating with their marketing team and creating disruptive and brave content to use across their marketing material and social media channels. We’re now their sole providers of creative content in the UK and manage the fischer fixings UK LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.

The brief

fischer fixings UK used to get a lot of their content from fischer Germany, which is awesome for brand consistency across their channels, but often didn’t quite resonate with the UK audience. So, that’s where we come in…

They came to us with intentions to build an online community, a place for tradies and suppliers to find out more about their products, have a laugh and seek inspiration. The brief is to consistently create humorous, educational, and interesting content that provides value to the audience. Creative freedom is one of the many reasons why we love working with these guys. They give us a budget to work to and from this, we create concepts, content and communication that supports their marketing campaigns and brand goals.

The process

We provide construction photo shoots and video productions on a monthly basis as well as manage their organic social media activities daily. The types of content we shoot for them range from product photography, DIY inspiration, stop motions, product launch films & photography, Toolbox Talks, Q&As and so much more.

The process for content creation will involve a collaboration between the dissident team and the marketing team at fischer. We’ll work together to create a strategy that meets their goals and objectives for the following three months. Content shoot locations will vary from our Staffordshire-based photography studio, constructions sites, residential properties, and warehouses to name a few. Shoots can take days or even weeks to complete at times, but the process is always fun, productive, full of belly laughs and plenty of snacks of course.

The social media content is more reactive, and a strategy is built monthly to ensure we’re meeting trends and communicating with our audience in the most effective way possible. We’ll regularly communicate with the team at fischer to discuss ideas, seek approvals for our content calendars and share progress reports to ensure the content we’re creating is meeting the brief. We also head up the community management across all their accounts to keep a constant conversation flowing, which is the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into the community and have some good old banter.

What we do

fischer’s monthly social media management retainer and construction and DIY content shoots provide them with:

  • 30 brand-reflective social media posts each month, created and scheduled by us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Monthly communication and performance reports to ensure their core messages and goals are being met.
  • Quarterly meetings to collaborate with the fischer team and create a plan of action for the following three months.
  • Monthly content shoots and productions to use across their marketing material and social media.
  • A team of like-minded creatives on hand who share the same vision and passion. (That’s us!)
